Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Board on Monday said a total of 3,937 pilgrims have so far returned from the Holy Land in eight flights since the commencement of their journey back to the country.
The board’s Public Relations Officer, Yunusa Abdullahi, said that the 8th flight landed at Kaduna International Airport on Monday morning with 545 pilgrims aboard Max Air.
He said “with this, Max Air, has transported back its allotted pilgrims of Kaduna State.
“The pilgrims that arrived today (Monday) are mainly from Chikun, Ikara and Kaduna South local government areas.”
According to him, the pilgrims arrived with their luggage and are given five litres of Zamzam water at Hajj Transit Camp, Mando.
He said the two airlines transporting Kaduna State pilgrims back home were Max Air and Med View airlines.
He added that the remaining 2,776 pilgrims from Kaduna State still in Saudi Arabia would be transported back home by Med View airline in seven flights from Wednesday, Sept. 20.
A total of 6,713 pilgrims performed the 2017 Hajj from Kaduna State.
